Your blog is nice, the first picture with your students is original and the comment too. That's true, it happens.
Ok about this topic the body language in teaching , I consider that right now is one of our most important tools at teaching, since it help us to communicate with our students and they can take advantage of that, perhaps they can remember easier a gesture that their teacher did in a class than a group of words in the board.

i think body language is crucial in ELT, we are supposed to speak English all the time so it is obvipus tht students are not going to get the whole thing so using your body to make yourself understandable is very useful,you have to be sure , however, that you are using your body appropiately
as a student I can say that body language has great importance at time of teaching ... when I was taking Frech classes I always understood what my teacher said even when I didn't understand a single word!!! why? because of the body language she used to explain french culture ...
Hi Juli, the result of your job is excellent, I know that you have some problems dealing with technology and so do I ^^; that's why I think your effort is invaluable. I like the picture with your students and regarding this post I0m sure that body language express more of us than words. It shows if you feel comfortable, confident, happy and if your students perceive that it is something wrong we are lost.
